What's Buzzin Cousin????

My cousins and I have a little joke that cousins are a gift from God and we are going to make shirts that say I "heart" Cousins. And I was thinking, there has to be a day to appreciate your cousins....and sure enough there is.....

Cousin's Day
When : July 24th
Cousin's Day honors your Aunt and Uncle's kids. They are those great kids who are likely close to your age, and endure the countless family get togethers with you. If it wasn't for cousins, these family events would be much, much longer.

This is a great day for your cousins. Now, hold on a minute. If you have cousins, that means your cousins have cousins. And, that's you! Therefore, today is your day, too.

Celebrating should be nothing but fun. Get together with your cousins. Hang out, just chill, or do anything you want to do...... as long as its a fun time spent with your cousins.

Rude Follow-Up

And just so everyone knows, my eyebrowns will be taken care of on Saturday....

Rude

Today Adam and I had lunch and he was sitting across from me and stared at me for a few minutes, then he asked "When is your next eyebrow waxing?" As Stephanie Tanner would say "How rude!!!!!" Even though I do have a little unibrow, I can't find my tweezers to keep it undercontrol....but don't think that I took it lying down. I responded with "Well your fingernails are longer than mine, and that is innapropriate!" Ha, I showed him!!!

Cosmo Prize Pack

Sheesh...it has been a while since I last blogged...my apologies. Well I did open my Cosmo Prize pack and they sent me a little mesh backpack that says Cosmo Sirius Radio, a water bottle that says the same thing, and compact that lights up when you open it. The oustide just says Cosmo. I have used the backpack once and I keep the compact in my purse. The light really comes in handy. I just washed the water bottle so I will start using that in a few days.

Unveiling

So my Cosmo Prize Pack came in yesterday and Adam is going to bring it to The Vine so I can open it in front of everyone!!!! I am so excited I can't wait.....

Good Going Down

On Sunday night, Alyssa, Andy, Lindsay, Adam, and I went to the Botanical Gardens to see the luminaries, but that didn't work out quite like we planned so we decided to head to Gallagher's for some dinner. There we each had a couple beers and I ordered the chili baked potato. Before I ordered it I took some advice from Lindsay's friend Lisa and requested a sample of the chili. It tasted good, so I went ahead with my order.

Little did I know that at 2 a.m. I would wake-up and throw-up the chili until 7 a.m.!!! 5 hours of throwing up....it was the worst......I did call in sick to work (sorry Jacob) because every hour I was throwing up!!! I even tried to drink some water and eat some pretzels because I didn't have any crackers and those didn't even stay down. The last time I threw up was yesterday evening.

I haven't been that sick in a long time. The last flu I had included nausea, but I never really threw-up.....

Mustache Update

I will take another picture of Adam's mustache this week and post it for everyone to see it. It is starting to get full!!!! As of today, my birthday is when everyone seems to want Adam to shave his mustache....but since that date wasn't part of the original bet, he will shave it on New Year's Day. It is really funny to stare at him....I don't like it at all!!!!!

Poll

So, As you can see I have added a poll to my blog about Adam's Mustache. He started the mustache the day after Thanksgiving. And everyone at the tailgate (well, me, Alyssa, Stephanie, and Lindsay) decided that it would be fun to see how full the stache got.....hence the poll. Please vote for when you think Adam should shave his stache....and it can't be a date earlier than 12/24....

I will upate the blog with pictures of the stache every few days so everyone will see the status....here is a picture from 12/1......

Christmas Lists

Last year Adam and I only exchanged Christmas lists with ourselves as we were still only boyfriend/girlfriend we didn't want our families to buy for each other. But this year is different....so Adam has been introduced to the world of Christmas lists. For others, it is so easy to just right down a few things here and there and your family decides who is going to get you what....Well not in my world. And poor Adam didn't realize that there is a lot that goes into it...a list for Adam/mom & dad wright/sister wright, mom brown/sister brown/brother brown, and dad brown. You can't duplicate anything on the lists unless you want to make sure you double of them. Like put work pants on each list, but only list a movie on one of them. You try to incorporate something a little expensive on each list, because you don't know how each parent is going to buy. Is it the same price for everyone or the same amount of gifts for everyone. (that really only applies to my parents, not Adams).

And after all that, we do a Christmas drawing on the dad's side of the family...so you need to make sure that you keep at least three things on the side to ask for from them.

Now, everyone knows that I stress out about everything...and I am sure that when Alyssa reads this she won't agree with how hard core it is...but still....anyways, the point of the story is that now Adam is experiencing Christmas the way that I have my whole life.....4 of them....but now, we have 7!!!!!!

Vegas

It is coming....I have many things to blog about in regards to Vegas....so stay tuned....and I have a lot of hilarious pictures....

So funny.....

Understanding Domo

The name "Domo" was acquired during the second episode of his show in which a TV announcer said, "dōmo, konnichiwa", which is a greeting meaning something along the lines of, "Well, hello there!", but which can also be interpreted as "Hello, Domo!", and thus is a convenient pun. The kun suffix on "Domo-kun," the name used to describe the character in the Japanese versions, is a Japanese honorific often used with young males.

Domo, the main character, is described as "a strange creature that hatched from an egg." Domo's favorite food is Japanese-style meat and potato stew, and he has a strong dislike for apples, due to an unexplained mystery in his DNA. Domo can only communicate via producing a low-pitched noise which sounds somewhat like his own name, but other characters appear to understand him. Domo-kun is known to pass gas repeatedly when nervous or upset.
Domo lives in an underground cave with Mr. Usaji, known in Japanese-language versions as Usajii, a portmanteau of the words usagi , (rabbit), and jii (old man, grandpa). Mr. Usaji is a wise old rabbit who loves to watch television and drink astringent green tea. Mr. Usaji is not into any "new" materials, and does not own a telephone. In terms of fashion, Mr. Usaji focuses on materials instead of shapes. Mr. Usaji's favorite food is carrots, and his least favorite food is "something that is meaningless."

Also in the cave live two bats, a mother named Maya and her child Mario. Maya has a drinking problem; her favorite foods are seasonal while her least favorite food is, ironically, alcohol. Mario's favorite food is Japanese-style tomato spaghetti, while his least favorite food is shiitake mushrooms.

The other main character in the shorts is a weasel girl named Tashanna. Tashanna, 17 years old, is a weasel who aspires to be a fashion stylist or model in Tokyo and is always using technology (televisions, mobile phones, and cameras). In English Tashanna has a "weaselly accent" and ends her sentences with "y"s. In the Japanese version, she ends her sentences with "chi". According to the English site, she is also looking for a boyfriend. Tashanna's favorite food is apricot and mint tarts, and her least favorite food is sea urchin. The Japanese name originates from the word "multichannel" of digital broadcasting.

Bear Boy, also known as A Little Bear, is one of Domo's friends from the neighborhood; the timid cub enjoys playing baseball.

Hee and Haw (Flower Two) are pixie twins from a flower. Domo is the only individual who can see them.

The Fox Trio consists of Esther, Brother Fox, and Fox Boy. Esther, the youngest member, enjoys producing crocodile tears, plotting schemes, and causing havoc. Brother Fox, the eldest member, dutifully cares for his youngest siblings and feels upset when referred to as "short-legged". Fox Boy, having a quiet demeanor, converses with Domo and Bear Boy and prefers to read.

Hungry Bear, a large and powerful bear, feels too hungry to take advantage of his strength. The Ghost randomly appears and disappears.

Hello Domo

So, this past Halloween, Target started using a mascot other than the dog around the store and in commercials. When Alyssa and I went to Target this past Halloween we saw signs hanging in the store that looked like Fudgems....but now we know that it is a Japanese cartoon called Domo. So you can see that he doesn't look exactly like Fudgems, but he is a similar.
But last night at The Vine, Alyssa surprised me with a Domo aka Fudgems doll!!! I am so excited, I can't wait to start taking adventures with him. Now my blog will include the adventures of DomoFudgems.
I love it....I am so excited.....

Tetanus Shot Number......

This past weekend I attempted to climb a fence at an ASU game....yes I had been drinking, but that is not why. My cousin Devyn accidentally threw one of the bean bags over the fence and instead of having her climb over the fence and get it, I attempted to do it. Now I could have done it, but I had all of these people yelling behind me to get down and I was going to get hurt, and it turns out I did!!! I have some pictures of it at home that I will post later, but now I have to get a tetanus shot....

So I was trying to remember how many tetanus shots I have gotten throughout my life. Generally, I think people get one their whole life, maybe two!!! Well I am on to number three!!! The first one I can remember was when I was little and playing in our sand box in the backyard. We used to have this wooden kitchen set and it fell apart, due to old age, and we thought that all the pieces were picked up. Well there was one lonely door with a nail that wasn't picked up and I found it....The reason this is sticks out to me is because my sister had to carry be inside the house with the door hanging from my foot!!! And then my mom called my grandpa over and he had to pull it out!!! Can you say traumatizing.....

Then, as many of you know, I had an incident with barbwire and a four-wheeler.....you will all read more about it on our wedding website due out November 21, 2008.....so I won't tell you all about it, but I had to get another shot at the town doctor....

And now today, I will have to endure another tetanus shot, making it number three.....what do you think my next tetanus shot will be for?????

Oh no....Adam and I are going to Mexico for our honeymoon!!!! Can they give tetanus shots in Mexico????????

Leggings....

So last year for Christmas my mom got me this gray Verra Wang dress from Kohl's...I love it so much and it is so comfortable....I am going to wear it at Thanksgiving, so you will all be able to see it then. But I have always wanted to wear it with leggings and my mom got me some for my birthday, but I have never worn them until today.....

It is a whole new world, NO JOKE... My legs are so warm and so comfortable....I absolutely love them and I want more of them. Currently I have black ones, which I am wearing them now, but I would love some brown and perhaps some other colors.....But I am not sure....Also, I would like to experiment and get a long enough shirt to cover my hips and wear the leggings with my Uggs.....I can't wait...

P.S. Adam hates leggings....I tried to wear them last Thanksgiving and they were too small and I ripped them, but he didn't like them....oh well....they make my legs feel so good!!!!

Little Scare

As everyone knows I have an obsession with Cosmo Radio. I love it...for those of you who don;t know....when Adam and I purchased the Jetta, a free 3 month subscription to Sirius Radio was included. That is how I found out about Cosmo Radio and I love them, they are my new best friends....They taught me how to say "No She Didn't!"

Anyway, so Adam and I were driving around this weekend and I realized that the satellite wasn't working.....hence our free subscription has ended. So this morning, there was no Waking Up With Cosmo.....

However, I remembered that when I was trying to figure out how to listen to Sirius at my desk I accidentally signed up for an Internet subscription which is like $2.00 a month, but it has saved me...I can now listen to Kenny, Taylor, Victoria, Patrick, Julie, Sarah, Keisha, and Brian all day....

I hope I never have another scare like this again......

Santa Didn't Leave Me A Silver Bell.....

So, there has been a lot of talk about families going up to the Polar Express train in Wilcox, Arizona. And I feel that I need to let you all know my "incident" that occurred at the Polar Express.

A few years ago, I babysat for this family that the Judge I used to work for knew. They were actually her neighbors and they were the coolest people and they paid really well. The best part was they would get all of their friends together for a night out and I would watch all the girls, like seven or eight of them. And then I would get paid even more.

So around December they all asked me if I would like to accompany the whole group to the Polar Express for an overnight trip and watch the girls later than evening so their parents could all go out. And of course I said yes!!! So I go up there with them and everyone gets dressed into the matching pajamas, even the adults, and then I find out that I am not going on the train. I had to stay back and wait for them to finish the train ride.

For about two hours I had dinner by myself, walked downtown and watched the Christmas parade, and then came back and waited for them. Well when they all came back all the kids got silver bells from Santa, like in the book. And I have to tell you I was so sad....so before we left I went and bought the book and a silver bell.

The only good thing was, I got to see snow, free food, free room, and I made $300....but everytime I hear about other people going on the train I always get a little sad and jealous.

Maybe one day, I will find someone to go on the train and wear matching pajamas with me....sniffle sniffle.....

I NEED YOU BLOG STALKERS!!!!!!!

Calling all commenters and blog stalkers, I need you. Please, if you are ever going to comment on my blog, this has to be it!!!

My co-worker Jacob, is fighting me on doing matrices here at work. I hate doing them. They are stupid and a waste of time. Jacob did do a lot of them last week and he about lost his mind, but I did come to his aide when they were about done. Which, as many of you know, is my style. But I did help and that is what matters.

But for some reason the attorney who normally gives the matrices to Jacob (cough cough frenchie) gave them to me!!!! So I told Jacob that if he did the matrices for me, I would serve Subpoenas and do his calendaring for a week. But he still won't take the papers to do the matrices off my desk, saying "if I decide to do them, then I will come pick them up."

So I need you all to vote and tell Jacob to do the matrices......

Uneducated

So as I previously wrote, I went and saw the Kathy Griffin show on Thursday. I had a good time. I didn't realize that she was so political, or a Democrat, or supported gays that much. There is nothing wrong with either one of those, I just didn't realize how passionate she is about each of them.

In any case, during and after her show I realized how uneducated I am. I am not embarrassed to admit that I am a Republican, but I am embarrassed at the fact that if someone asked me a question about it I wouldn't know how to answer. I mean, I can't even remember how I voted for Prop. 102.

I do know why I am a Republican and it isn't because I am following in my dad's foot-steps. But I would like some feed back on how and where I can educate myself. Do I need to take a U.S. History class next semester?

Hello My Nemisis

Well, by now I am sure that everyone has heard the story about Adam and the bed sheets at Magic Mountain being his nemesis. But I thought that everyone would benefit from hearing about how my lovely sister, Alyssa, has a nemesis as well.....the parking garage!!!!! Yes, you heard me correctly, the parking garage.

The first time I realized that she had a problem was a long time ago we went to Scottsdale Fashion Center to get an x-mas present for my mom and we got lost in the parking garage. Looking back on it, it is really really funny. But at the time we were so mad at each other. She wouldn't listen to me about where to go and we just kept going up, then down, then up and we could never find our way out. We did get in a big fight and didn't talk to each other the whole way home. If I remember correctly, I blared "Put A Little Holiday In Your Heart" by Leanne Rimes the whole way home.

Anyway, Alyssa and I went to see Kathy Griffin with some of our girlfriends (shout out to Lori and Julie) at Dodge Theatre. We first met at the Arizona Center and had dinner then walked over to Dodge. Alyssa and I both parked at the garage at the Arizona Center.

So after the show, Lori drove us back to the garage for us to our cars. Alyssa backed out first, and then I followed. But when we got to the end, she didn't go straight to the little booths in front of us, she turned left and went out this side area. I just thought she knew a better way to get out. Well she didn't.

I was parked behind her watching her try to put in her parking card, and it wouldn't accept it. Then I shouted out the window that she was at the wrong exit, this was for annual card holders only. We had to exit out of the garage that she passed.

So I backed up just fine and sat there and waited for her to back up...Which was hilarious....she couldn't do it......

So yet again, we have to incidents under our belt involving parking garages....

Calm Down

I kept this to myself for obvious reasons, but now I can write about it because it is all over. The last couple of months I wasn't sure that I was going to vote. For my own reasons, that I will not discuss any further than this. But Monday night, I decided that I really needed to vote. So I woke up at 5 a.m., which is super early, and got ready to go vote. The poll was just down the street from my house, so it only took me about 5 minutes to get there. But when I got there the line was so long!!!! So I ended up waiting in line for about an hour.

Now I paid attention to the presidential debate, but I didn't really read anything about the propositions. So I figured, well I have a long time to wait, why not read about them now. So I went up to the front of the line to see if I could get a copy of the propositions. When I reached the front of the line, some guy was like go on in you don't have to be scared. And I replied that I wasn't scared I was looking for a printout of the propositions. He then pointed to a copy of the ballot that was taped to the window and I told him that I wanted a hard copy so I could read it in line. And then he stared at me and yelled "I DON'T KNOW WHY PEOPLE DON'T DO THEIR RESEARCH BEFORE THEY COME!!!!!" And I am not exaggerating. So, I just turned around and went back to my place in line. The woman that was in front of me was nice enough to hold my spot. And I told her what happened and she got all mad and was like "People need to calm down."

When we were just talking some guy that was behind the man who yelled at me came and gave me a little book that had the propositions in it. I was very thankful.

Now I know what everyone is going to say that I should have really researched them before I got to the polls. And I do agree with that; however, I have only voted one other time in my life, so I am still learning. And I do know that I would have taken longer to vote so I could have read them on the ballot.

But that's not the end of it. When I finally get inside I have an issue with my driver's licence. When I changed my address at the DMV online and got a new drivers licence, I registered to vote at my new address. Well apparently, that is not how you are suppose to change your address as a registered voter. I had no idea you actually have to go down to the DMV to change your address. Anyway, I ended up having to fill out this stupid "Provisional Ballot" that I am sure didn't even get counted.

Anyway, my experience at the polls wasn't the best, but after I voted I felt great.....and I got to come into work late, so that is always good.

Hilarious.....

I can't even write about these....they just crack me up!!!!

Cosmo

So this morning Wake Up With Cosmo had a segment about sexy halloween costumes and how they are so great. Well as you have read, I am a little bitter towards sexy costumes....So I decided to call in. I called and they picked-up after one ring and I hung up because I was scared to talk to them. Then I called back and got through again. So I told Kenny, Victoria, and Taylor about how a stupid pirate won most original and we should have. They didn't agree with me and told me I should always go sexy....

But later today, I also called into my favorite show on Cosmo, Get In Bed with Brian, Sarah, and Keisha. They have this segment every Monday called "Post-Date Recap." And since Adam and I finally had a date night, we celebrated our pre-wedding anniversary, I decided to call in and tell them about it. And they loved it!!! I had them laughing pretty hard.....funny how I have to have pretend best-friends for people to laugh at my jokes...hmmmmmm

Halloween

This past weekend my sister, andy, adam, and I all went to a Halloween party. We went as Alvin and the Chipmunks....

The reason we went dressed like this was to win a costume contest. There are three categories, most original, scariest, and funniest. I figured we would win for most original. But I figured wrong. A stupid sexy pirate one for most original.

Can you believe that? She didn't even make her costume, she bought it pre-made. Anyway, I am really upset about it and I am thinking about giving up on Halloween......j/k next to Christmas, it is one of my favorite holidays.

Walking in Jesus' Shoes

So many of you know that two years ago my sister and Andy dressed up as Jesus and Mary for Halloween. The whole idea from the costume came from my a pair of shoes my mom has that looks like Jesus sandals. I know, I know, it isn't very Catholic of me, but the really look like shoes that Jesus would have worn. They are hilarious.....

So today I am getting in the elevator to go to work and I was looking at the floor and I noticed that the woman in the elevator was wearing the same kinds of shoes. When it clicked I looked up at her and I had to have had the weirdest expression on my face, because she gave me a dirty look when she got out of the elevator.

I was just surprised because I didn't think that anyone else had sandals like that. They were identical to the ones that my mom had....I wonder if that woman would go as Jesus for Halloween too.....

A Shower A Day Keeps The Dr. Away

Well as I previously told you, I have the flu. I came down with the flu in the afternoon on Monday, 10/13. I had the worst headache and sore throat. But I came home and took a nap, I felt a little bit better but my head still hurt and my body ached, but I had plans to go out to dinner with my dad, Lauren, and Adam in honor of Cristina's friend that past away. When I got home that night, I still had a headache, but I was just really tired. On Tuesday morning I woke up with the same headache only multiplied by 100,000, I was so nauseious, my throat hurt, and I could barely keep my eyes open so I stayed home from work. On Wednesday morning, I woke up, still feeling nauseated, with a little sore throat, but my body ached still. So I went to the Dr. and she told me that I had the flu and I couldn't go back to work until Monday, 10/20.

SO here I am today, just sitting on my couch watching Sex and the City. By the way, I love that movie. I cried all afternoon. But the funny part is, I called Adam this morning and told him that I have not taken a shower since Sunday. That is 4 days without showering or washing my hair!!!!!! He said I was disgusting and that he wouldn't come over tonight unless I showered. How funny, that is how he bribes me to come over.

But the point is, other than grossing you out, that during and after my shower I felt great. My headache went away, my body didn't hurt, and I didn't feel like throwing up. So I decided to take advantange and get a load of laundry done. Well that was a mistake. I should have just got out of the shower and came and relaxed. Now my headache is bad, my stomach hurts like it did two days ago, and I am exhausted. Just from doing a load of laundry.

Anyway, if I would have just relaxed the shower would have helped me get better. Well gotta go.....going to take a nap. This typing is making my arms ache.

Nightmare

So last night I had the worst nightmare I have ever had. Do you remember the old receptionist that we had, Autumn? Well she had a boyfriend named Josh, who apparently wasn't to happy with me. Here is the dream.....

I am house-sitting for someone who has a three legged bull dog. The house is in a coldesaque and it has a big living room and a huge window along the side of the house that faces the street. When I get to the front door I see a note from a flower company that i have flowers waiting on the side of the house. Attached to the note, was the card for the flowers from Josh that said " I am going to kill you!" I grabbed the flowers and ran inside. When I was standing in the kitchen I saw Josh walking toward the house with all these flowers and rocks....so I fall to the floor and listen to him yell and scream something about Autumn and a baby....I didn't really know what he was saying, but I escaped out of the house and drove away.

When I came back later than night, my brother, sister, Lindsay, Stephanie, and Courtney were all at the house waiting for me and cleaning up all this blood all over the house. Apparently Josh had gotten in the house and did something to the dog. And then somehow everyone knew and went to the house to make sure that i was OK. Then I see my ex-boyfriend Brandon standing outside with a white van and Josh tied up inside. Then my brother comes running out and says get out of here before he tries to do something to you and you better hurt yourself so he doesn't try to. So I drive out of the coldesaque and then see my Uncle Rick in a red truck with some girl in there and then I drove right into them. A couple of times actually.

Then Brandon drove away and Shawn and everyone else piled into my car. Then as I started to drive away, I started to cry and Alyssa was yelling at me that I can't keep crying about it that it is fine now and I need to toughen up......

Then I heard my Dad getting ready this morning and I woke up....it was the craziest thing that I have every dreamed....and I was so scared.....it must be the flu.....

Vegas

I am very excited....me, Alyssa, Stephanie, Lindsay, and Courtney are all going to Las Vegas on 11/21...I can't wait....I wnt to Vegas a few times when I wasn't 21, but now that I am over 21 I can't wait.....it is only for one day, but I am still just so excited.

Sick

Well as you might have figured out, I have a lot of time on my hands. I am sick....I have the flu....so I am sure over the next few days I will be blogging a lot.....who knows what I will write about....stay tuned.

Twilight

So I had an interesting conversation with Lindsay today. It was about Twilight and my feelings toward Edward and Jacob. I will just say that I haven't officially made my choice....and I will leave it at that....AND I AM A ROMANTIC!!!!!!

Dreams

So even though I have had some problems with DD, I still have my dream of opening my own shop. Even though Adam said that I can't raise kids and run a doughnut shop. But I will one day open a DD and noone will ever write a letter about my store. Also, Adam's dad has decided that his new name is Don Viejo, which means old man. But the idea I had is that Adam's dad makes the best cup of coffee I have ever tasted in my life. Even better than Starbucks. So I have decided to open a DD and sell Don Viejo coffee. Doesn't that just sound good?????

Brother

So I am sitting here with my sister-in-law and my brother and I just have to blog that sometimes he is not nice. I see a lot of my sister in him. He is just sitting on the couch and complaining about everything. Even Mindi's eyebrows.

Babysteps

Well, this past weekend Alyssa and I had a little slumber party since Andy had plans and Adam was out of town. So, Sunday morning Alyssa and I went to Dunkin' Doughnuts...and it was a little stressful. Now I only mean it is stressful because they were very unorganized and they put my doughnuts in the bag upside down. But all in all, it was pretty good. I will go back again.

Long Live Little Drummer Boy

Well, all is good for the Snowman and Santa Band. Turns out that they need new batteries. However, the Snowman does have a disability, he will continue to play........maybe this year I will find an addition to the Christmas Buddies Band....

R.I.P. Drummer Boy

So Adam and I were unloading my Halloween decorations and I came across one of my favorite Christmas decorations that I was so excited about....but my excitement soon turned to horror, when I realized that the Snowman had been murdered....Well actually not murdered, just assaulted. His neck was broken, and yet, through all of his pain, he managed to play just one more song. I am sorry, I can't talk about it anymore....I will just show you the evidence and the murderer who couldn't even look the camera in the eye........

Bacon

I have officially developed an addiction to bacon. I don't know what it is. But when Roni, Adam's mom, was is town a couple weeks ago we all made breakfast and had bacon. It was delicious and I believe when my addiction started. So this past weekend I made breakfast on Sunday, it was just a small one for Adam and my dad. I was going to have a big breakfast with my sister, Adam, my dad, Adam's sister, and Adam's cousin but I didn't want to get up that early. We had pancakes, eggs, and bacon. It was delicious. But then later that afternoon, I really think it had to be just 3 or 4 hours later, I asked Adam to go to the store to get some things for our tailgate. My list included another package of bacon, lettuce and tomatoes so that I could have a BLT. Sunday morning came and I couldn't wait until lunch time to make my BLT, so I made breakfast burritos for Adam and I. Which included potatoes and bacon. But those filled me up, so I decided to keep the rest of the bacon for my lunch today.

The funny part is, I actually had to put the rest of the cooked bacon away so I couldn't see it. Otherwise, I would have eaten it and not had any left for my blt today.

I had my BLT today and it was delicious. I have even noticed that bacon gathers a crowd. While I was heating it up in the microwave, several people in my office came to see what I was cooking because it smelled so good. I was so proud of my sandwich (sorry Alyssa I should have taken a picture before I devoured it).

Here is why I am starting to be concerned; during my sandwich bliss, I was thinking about the next time I would be able to eat bacon!! Doesn't that sound like an addict? I was thinking about my next fix before I even finished the one that I had. I even sent Adam a text that we should start buying bacon in bulk at Sam's Club because it would be cheaper than getting it at the grocery store.

I really feel like that dog from the Beggin' Strips commercial…." I want bacon!!!!" But this weekend I listened to a segment on Sirius Cosmo Radio, a new radio show that I am also addicted to. And the segment had to do with PMS and what women's bodies do to cope with it. I think that my body had decided to turn to bacon to help calm my nerves and keep me happy…..

P.S. I am not pregnant, so these are not pregnancy cravings.

Blog Rules!!!!

So I have been getting some requests to update my blog more frequently. I didn't realize that I had such a large following, because people don't leave comments except for Poo Head. So from now on, I am making a rule that more people, other than Poo Head, have to leave comments. If I see that people are commenting then I will be inspired to write more and even deticate more time to adding pictures.

Wednesday

Well, it has been a while since I last blogged, but I assure you this will make up for it.

Last Wednesday, me, my sister and my cousins all went to the Maroon 5 and Counting Crows concert. The morning started out a little before 8, with the e-mail chain. It was mainly to discuss who was picking up who and what time. I, of course, had the best deal. Adam and I carpooled so they all picked me up at work and then dropped me off at Adam's that night. It was perfect.

I was picked-up a little before 5 and we were all excited, laughing and making fun of each other all the way there. And then we pull into the parking lot and got a great parking spot. It could have been because the parking lot was empty or the fact that we just rock.

As we walk to the gates, it starts to rain. Not hard, but enough to make us get our umbrellas out. Thanks everyone for letting Alyssa and I use the umbrellas….we didn't plan that well.

When we finally get inside, we cant get to our lawn seats because the employees weren't in their positions yet. Mind you, we did get there really early. I have never been to Cricket that early or seen it that empty before. Stephanie and Courtney go up to the Security guards and flirt with them to try and get into the lawn before anyone else. That didn't work and they came back to our little table. But the Security Guard did tell Stephanie that he would waive her over when he got the word. As soon as security gave the go ahead on the lawn, Stephanie runs up the stairs and almost trips going up there. And Courtney has to run after her. You really had to be there, but it was funny.

When we get to our blanket, we break out the picnic J Did you know that you can bring food into Cricket? We just found this out and it worked out!!!! The worst part of the lawn was the bugs. I, of course, was a poor planner and wore a dress which exposed my legs to more bug bites. I just got rid of the last set of bites….

Alyssa didn't like the bugs at all, so she tried to go to her car to get bug spray. While she was gone a huge mosquito landed on the blanket and Lindsay killed it. But when she picked it up with a napkin it exploded and there was a huge spot of blood on the blanket. It had looked like someone cut them selves and dripped blood. When we saw Alyssa walking back we turned the blanket over so she wouldn't see the blood and know what happened. It all worked out and she never knew J And Alyssa wasn't allowed to go and get her bug spray. But once the sun went down the bugs went away too.

Then the concert started and Augustine played. I only know one of their songs and it was pretty good. After Augustine, Alyssa and I went to get a beer. Mind you I had already had a couple and was a little tipsy. I am not sure if Alyssa was or not, but she can handle her alcohol better than I can. But she purchased a beer and I purchased a beer for me and soda for Courtney. We were walking back to our seats and bumped into each other causing us to spill some of my beer, which we did in front of two Security Guards. Not the same ones Stephanie was talking to.

The next thing we know, the Security Guards stop us and check our i.d. They even swipe it in a machine to make sure it is real. Alyssa said it was my fault because I said we were going to get in trouble loud enough for them to hear us, but I think it was because we were walking funny and running into each other.

After that, nothing too exciting happened, except for Maroon 5. They were awesome. Then the Counting Crows came out and we stayed for a couple of songs and then left. Alyssa and I dropped everyone off, stopped for a cheeseburger, and then I went to sleep.

The next morning I woke up with a little hangover and found out my class that night was cancelled, so I went home last night and slept….

Just when I thought you couldn't get any dumber, you go and do something like this... and totally redeem yourself!

Well they are back in my good graces!!!! I don't really need to write anything more, the letter explains itself. But I will tell you that I did get a gift certificate!!!! WOOO WOOO!!!! Even though the gift card is only worth $3, it still counts!!!!!!

Bad Dunkin'

As previously blogged, Dunkin' Donuts was scheduled to open on August 15th and I was very excited about it. They were also giving away free coffee from August 15 to August 21. So on August 15th, I went to the only Dunkin' Donuts by my house to get my free coffee and a dozen donuts to bring into the office.

When I pull into the parking lot, I noticed a big Dunkin' Donuts trailer parked out front with a line. As I got closer, I realized that they were handing out the free coffee from the trailer. So I thought, well maybe that is where the free coffee is at and I can go into the store for donuts….Well I was sadly mistaken. The store wasn't even open!!!!! It was still under construction.

Now I was really upset by this, so I wrote a complaint on their website. I wasn't complaining about the free coffee, I was complaining that all of the advertisements said the stores would be open August 15 and free coffee would be available until the 21st. What if I wanted to go in there everyday and get a free coffee, but I couldn't?

Then the other day, my sister told me that the store won't be open for two more weeks. I am so upset……

Sometimes People Forget Things

Last night Alyssa, Andy, and Adam came over to my dad's house to have dinner. I prepared Baked Spaghetti, which wasn't bad, but wasn't good. It wasn't saucy enough. But the funny part was before Andy and Adam came over. Alyssa, Dad, and I were all hanging out and my dad kept telling funny stories....Like how my dad gives Elvis a ride home from the D-Backs game, but he forgot once, prompting the somtimes people forget things. But the funniest thing was Dad bought Fudge Stripped Cookies for the guys at work and he forgot them....can you see a trend here? I love Fudge Stripped Cookies and when I saw them I kept asking for them, which started to annoy my dad. And if you have ever annoyed my dad, you know how funny it is. Finally at the end of the night, my dad said just open the damn cookies :) I didn't open them and my dad ended up taking them to work this morning........so no Fudge Stripped Cookies tonight :*(

Prayer

Well things haven't gotten any better since the last time I blogged....I take that back. Things have been getting better, but not related to the "family incidents" mentioned earlier. I am off of school now for another 3 weeks and I am spending all my time with my fiancé, Adam. Which isn't that bad...for a while we weren't doing that good, but now we are getting back to "normal". If there is such a thing....I can only thank my family, who finally became positive influences in my life, if only for a short time. There is only one in particular who was, well to put it nicely, a jerk about the whole thing. And that person doesn't have the link to my blog, so I don't mind saying that......

But I have decided to fall back on my faith. I know that the only person who really reads my blog, might make fun of me, but I don't mind. All I do is talk about all of the things that I do with the Church. And other than going to Church on Sundays, Catechism class on Wednesdays, and not living with Adam anymore, I pretty much keep my faith to myself. I mainly do that for everyone around me who are uncomfortable, uneducated, or just thinks what I am doing is stupid.

Well I don't care anymore. As far as I am concerned, I don't have any positive influences in my life. I take that back, I have plenty of them, but I don't see them on a day-to-day basis. So if Church and faith are the only things that I have, then I don't care what other people say about it. I am slowly learning, barely at 25, that you can never please other people. They will always get mad, judge, criticize, and stop talking to you until you bend into what they want. So if I lose a few people through the years, then I will just have to think that I am better off.

So here it goes....I am saying a prayer in public: God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference.

Hopefully the next blog won't be so glum.......

Drama

Well, I have had a few bad incidents over the past few weeks, but they have all been family related. Normally I wouldn't mind writing about issues with my family, however, they all of the link to my blog.....so I can't do it this time......and to be honest, they aren't that funny either....So check back in a few weeks to see if anything else happened....

Life's Little Gifts

As I already mentioned to you, today is Adam's birthday. Now I know this blog is about the negative things that happen to me, but I feel that I need to at least shed some light on the positive things.

Everyone knows that I am getting married on 10/24/09, so my life is going to change dramatically. But for the better!!!!!!! Every so often, little gifts are given to me to remind me of how lucky I am and what I am about to receive, and this is one of them.

When I was growing up, every year on my birthday my mom and my sister would come into my room with a chocolate chip muffin with a lit birthday candle and a present. They both would sing me Happy Birthday and then I got to open my gift. And would always be a new outfit to wear to school that day. It was always so exiciting. Anyone who knows my mom, knows that she does very well with picking out clothes for me. I am always satisfied. And when my sister was too excited to wait for me to open my gift from her, she would give it to me that morning also.

So I did the same thing for Adam this morning. I came into the room with a blueberry muffin and a lit birthday candle and a present. I sang him Happy Birthday and then he opened his present. It was a new blue polo for him to wear to work.

The reason this meant so much to me, is that now I get to carry on some of my family traditions. Sometimes people take advantage of what they have and they seldom acknowledge the little gifts that come along the way to remind them of what they have. This was a special time for me to spend with my mom and my sister. And it was also a special time for Adam and I.

I am so excited to keep this tradition going. I love it, and other than being woken up at 5:30 in the morning on his birthday, Adam loved it also.

Safeway, Walmart, and Hookers

Last night I went to The Vine for the weekly family get together. It was a lot of fun. Adam's sister and cousin came and also another one of my cousins came. It was really nice to have everyone there. I am not sure if I ever mentioned this, but Wednesday is $1 beer night at The Vine, so we usually have about 3 or 4 beers with dinner or while we are hanging out.

So last night we were all hanging out and I left to go and get some clothes to go stay at Adam's house. Today is his birthday and I had a surprise planned for this morning. I am going to talk to about that in another blog. So I changed into my pajamas at my dad's and stopped at Safeway to get a couple things for this morning. Apparently, Safeway closes around midnight. I didn't know that so I am standing in front of the doors waiting for them to open in my pajamas at midnight!!!!! After walking in front of both doors with no luck, I walked back to my car and drove to Walmart.

The good thing about Walmart, you can always role out of bed and walk into the store knowing that you are going to look better than at least one person in that store. No one if looked twice at the fact that I was wearing pajamas with moons and stars.

Once I was finished at Walmart I headed to Adams. When I was driving down Baseline, I saw what looked to be a hooker. She was wearing a short, short gold skirt and a white halter top. It is clearly an assumption, but she was at a bus stop!!!!!!

All of this occured between 12 -12:30 a.m. I very busy evening/morning.

Hubcaps and Parking Spaces

Here is the background on my car. I drive a 2000, Silver, Plymouth Neon. This if my first and only car, that I have had since I was 18. I will admit that I haven't taken the best care of the car over the years. But now that I am trying to save for a wedding, I can't risk my car breaking down or having to get a new one becauase I didn't take care of it. If my car goes caput, I don't get a wedding!!!! Needless to say, I am taking better care of it.

Now, my car didn't come with rims. I got the basic option when I bought the car. Looking back, I think I was screwed. In any case, this is an important part of the story, my original hubcaps broke, so I bought new ones at Checker Auto. And these were really cheesey!!!!! They were fake crome!!!! How hilarious is that? They were just shiney plastic......ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Well over the years, those hubcaps actually fell off when I was driving. Each time I believe I was on the phone with my friend Lizzie. A few months ago, I had two hubcaps left. One on the front right tire, and one on the rear left tire. So I decided to just take them off. Which is more ghetto? A car with no hubcaps or only two on either side of the car.

Now to the point of the story........

This week one the attorneys is on vacation. He has a covered parking spot here at work and he is letting me use it this week. Now, I didn't park there yesterday because I wasn't sure if the security guard knew about it. I didn't want to take the risk of getting toed.

In any case, I parked there today and everything was all good. I even prepared another attorney that I parked next to him. I am not sure why, I think I was trying to get the fact that I didn't have hubcaps out in the open and all the laughs and jokes would be out of the way first thing in the morning. Well a few hours later another attorney said he was going out to get a drink and would be back. All four attorneys park in the same row. This last attorney, is the last parking spot of our row.

When he returned to the office, he came up to me and said "Stacey, there is a crappy car parked in -------'s spot." I just looked at him, and replied "ummmm...that is my car!!!!" His face turned bright red and he was like "are you serious?" "yes, the neon?" After a few minutes of laughing and playful bantering, he finally replied with "Stacey, it doesn't have hubcaps!"

So, I still don't know the answer......which is worse, no hubcaps or a car with two hubcaps on either side?

Wooden Shoes, Floors, and Bad Jokes

Last night I was at dinner with the fam at The Vine, for the weekly after bowling dinner. When everyone started to give me a hard time about wanting to see what my dad got my sister for her birthday. Then they all joked that everyone would see it on Friday when they all hang out during the day, because they don't work on Friday's, and I would just have to wait until I could "find time" to see her present. So I pretended to get mad and stormed out of the restaurant. Apparently, I was really loud and everyone looked at me when I walked out and they thought I was really mad. Even though I was smiling when I was walking.

When I came back in they were all giving me a hard time, and I told them I was wearing wood shoes and there are wood floors so it is going to be loud no matter how I walked.

So I had two "incidents" last night; 1) I shouldn't wear wooden shoes to The Vine, and 2) I can't joke around anymore, it embarrasses people.......

Ripped Pants and Firefighters

So I spent the night at Adam’s last week and when I woke up this morning my phone was on his side of the bed, so I told him to hand me my phone and he hit dismiss on my alarm instead of hitting snooze and I guess I snapped at him so he said that I was being mean.

Then I take a shower and realize that I don’t have a hair dryer or anything to do my hair. So I use Lauren’s which overheats with only half of my hair done, so I could’t use it anymore. During that the hairdryer got my necklace so hot that it was burning me, and I could’t get it off because of my nails, so I had to break the chain. Adam saw this and got mad at me. Mind you, this is the same necklace that Adam and I are supposed to wear but he doesn't wear his because he doesn't "have time" to get a new chain. The current one he has turns his neck green.

Then I go to put my makeup on and I only have foundation. So my hair is frizzy and I don’t have any make-up.

I have been eating oatmeal at work and I guess that left a packet of oatmeal in my purse and the paper to the oatmeal packet was thin and flimsy. So when I went to get my keys I poked a whole it in and a puff of oatmeal went all over my purse and my clothes. So I got mad and cursed and then Adam snapped at me and said I “need to relax” and then I left.

Then at work, one of the attorneys told me that there were fire fighters in the lobby. Which if anyone knows me, they know that I love men in uniform. So I go out in the hall way and they are actually helping this lady. So I felt bad and didn't even look at them, so I don't know if they were cute or not. But when I go to the bathroom I notice that the seem of the my pants is coming undone. Now I have walk past the firefighters again knowing that my pants are ripping.

Later that morning I talk to my sister and explain to her about the day that I was having and she said that there is no way that it could get worse. So I go about my day and I figure out that the seem of my pants isn't ripping, a part of the pants is just fraying. Which isn't so bad, but I can't wear those pants anymore. So my day started to get a little better.

Then that night I met my family at The Vine for the weekly after bowling beer and wings. It started out great, we were all talking about my wedding plans and then my sister and I got in a big fight.....and made my day even worse after she said that i couldn't.

And that is the "Ripped Pants and Firefighters Incident."

However, this has a moral to it....I should not be spending the night at Adam's house. I was being punished!!!!!!!!

Dairy Queen

So about four years ago....it was actually the October before I turned 21, I went down to Rocky Point, Mexico with Alyssa, Any and some of their friends. Apposed to popular belief, I didn't have a single thing to drink that weekend. I was really nervous about being in Mexico, as it was my first time there. So I figured that I should be sober in case an "incident" would happen.

So the day before we are going to leave, Alyssa, Andy, me, our friends Tim, and Sache all went to the Fish Market so that I could get these plastic hanging fish. Well we were trying to park the car, I was driving, and I went to turn down this road when another car came and cut me off. We both slapped on our breaks and we didn't hit each other, so we went on our way and parked up the street.

Well everyone was walking down the street, while I staid back for a second to check that all the car doors were locked, when a Federally came up yelling at me in Spanish. Mind you he was eating pork grinds and drinking Orchata. Both of which smell disgusting to me. So he made me open all the car doors and my trunk to see if I had anything in there, which I didn't. My Spanish isn't the best, but I can catch a few words here and there. So he said to me you caused an accident, and I told him no I didn't. Then he said I was going to jail.

When I heard that I yelled to my sister that they were taking me to jail and she came running up the street yelling at him. The next thing we know, he is telling us that we are all going to jail and makes us sit on the corner and wait for another Federally to show up. About 30 minutes later, he finally accepted $50 from me and we were free to go. I went and got the hanging fish and went back to the beach house.

I was so scared he literally scared the crap out of me. I was in the bathroom all night. And then on our way home, we drove through Gila Bend and my stomach still wasn't feeling that good. So Alyssa and Andy stopped at the Dairy Queen to get ice cream and I used the bathroom, which was outside and looked like an outhouse. The worst part.....you had to have a key to get in so other people were waiting for me to get out of the bathroom so they could use the bathroom...

And that is the "Dairy Queen Incident."

Introduction

Well the reason I started this blog is because a lot of bad things happen to me. And this past weekend Adam, Alyssa, Lauren (Adam's Sister), and I all went to San Diego for the 4th of July. During the road trip almost all of my stories included an "incident." Whether it be the incident at the Dairy Queen in Gila Bend four years ago, or an "incident" last week involving ripped pants and a lobby full of fire fighters. So Alyssa suggested that I start a blog to share all of my "incidents" with you.

Some might say that I am dwelling on the negative things in my life; however, I choose to look at is as, I am making people laugh at the bad things that happen to me or educating them on something that they might not have known about before. So that to me is a positive.

Other than the two that I mentioned above, I will only post "incidents" that have happened that day or week. So check often, as I sometimes have eventful days and some are worse than others.
