Wednesday

Well, it has been a while since I last blogged, but I assure you this will make up for it.

Last Wednesday, me, my sister and my cousins all went to the Maroon 5 and Counting Crows concert. The morning started out a little before 8, with the e-mail chain. It was mainly to discuss who was picking up who and what time. I, of course, had the best deal. Adam and I carpooled so they all picked me up at work and then dropped me off at Adam's that night. It was perfect.

I was picked-up a little before 5 and we were all excited, laughing and making fun of each other all the way there. And then we pull into the parking lot and got a great parking spot. It could have been because the parking lot was empty or the fact that we just rock.

As we walk to the gates, it starts to rain. Not hard, but enough to make us get our umbrellas out. Thanks everyone for letting Alyssa and I use the umbrellas….we didn't plan that well.

When we finally get inside, we cant get to our lawn seats because the employees weren't in their positions yet. Mind you, we did get there really early. I have never been to Cricket that early or seen it that empty before. Stephanie and Courtney go up to the Security guards and flirt with them to try and get into the lawn before anyone else. That didn't work and they came back to our little table. But the Security Guard did tell Stephanie that he would waive her over when he got the word. As soon as security gave the go ahead on the lawn, Stephanie runs up the stairs and almost trips going up there. And Courtney has to run after her. You really had to be there, but it was funny.

When we get to our blanket, we break out the picnic J Did you know that you can bring food into Cricket? We just found this out and it worked out!!!! The worst part of the lawn was the bugs. I, of course, was a poor planner and wore a dress which exposed my legs to more bug bites. I just got rid of the last set of bites….

Alyssa didn't like the bugs at all, so she tried to go to her car to get bug spray. While she was gone a huge mosquito landed on the blanket and Lindsay killed it. But when she picked it up with a napkin it exploded and there was a huge spot of blood on the blanket. It had looked like someone cut them selves and dripped blood. When we saw Alyssa walking back we turned the blanket over so she wouldn't see the blood and know what happened. It all worked out and she never knew J And Alyssa wasn't allowed to go and get her bug spray. But once the sun went down the bugs went away too.

Then the concert started and Augustine played. I only know one of their songs and it was pretty good. After Augustine, Alyssa and I went to get a beer. Mind you I had already had a couple and was a little tipsy. I am not sure if Alyssa was or not, but she can handle her alcohol better than I can. But she purchased a beer and I purchased a beer for me and soda for Courtney. We were walking back to our seats and bumped into each other causing us to spill some of my beer, which we did in front of two Security Guards. Not the same ones Stephanie was talking to.

The next thing we know, the Security Guards stop us and check our i.d. They even swipe it in a machine to make sure it is real. Alyssa said it was my fault because I said we were going to get in trouble loud enough for them to hear us, but I think it was because we were walking funny and running into each other.

After that, nothing too exciting happened, except for Maroon 5. They were awesome. Then the Counting Crows came out and we stayed for a couple of songs and then left. Alyssa and I dropped everyone off, stopped for a cheeseburger, and then I went to sleep.

The next morning I woke up with a little hangover and found out my class that night was cancelled, so I went home last night and slept….
