Bacon

I have officially developed an addiction to bacon. I don't know what it is. But when Roni, Adam's mom, was is town a couple weeks ago we all made breakfast and had bacon. It was delicious and I believe when my addiction started. So this past weekend I made breakfast on Sunday, it was just a small one for Adam and my dad. I was going to have a big breakfast with my sister, Adam, my dad, Adam's sister, and Adam's cousin but I didn't want to get up that early. We had pancakes, eggs, and bacon. It was delicious. But then later that afternoon, I really think it had to be just 3 or 4 hours later, I asked Adam to go to the store to get some things for our tailgate. My list included another package of bacon, lettuce and tomatoes so that I could have a BLT. Sunday morning came and I couldn't wait until lunch time to make my BLT, so I made breakfast burritos for Adam and I. Which included potatoes and bacon. But those filled me up, so I decided to keep the rest of the bacon for my lunch today.

The funny part is, I actually had to put the rest of the cooked bacon away so I couldn't see it. Otherwise, I would have eaten it and not had any left for my blt today.

I had my BLT today and it was delicious. I have even noticed that bacon gathers a crowd. While I was heating it up in the microwave, several people in my office came to see what I was cooking because it smelled so good. I was so proud of my sandwich (sorry Alyssa I should have taken a picture before I devoured it).

Here is why I am starting to be concerned; during my sandwich bliss, I was thinking about the next time I would be able to eat bacon!! Doesn't that sound like an addict? I was thinking about my next fix before I even finished the one that I had. I even sent Adam a text that we should start buying bacon in bulk at Sam's Club because it would be cheaper than getting it at the grocery store.

I really feel like that dog from the Beggin' Strips commercial…." I want bacon!!!!" But this weekend I listened to a segment on Sirius Cosmo Radio, a new radio show that I am also addicted to. And the segment had to do with PMS and what women's bodies do to cope with it. I think that my body had decided to turn to bacon to help calm my nerves and keep me happy…..

P.S. I am not pregnant, so these are not pregnancy cravings.
