Ruth and Harry

Well, I figured now is a better time than any to tell the world about Ruth and Harry. I will give you a few minutes to guess who Ruth and Harry are......

Okay, do you remember when I mentioned that I had a cysts on one of my ovaries? It is in one of my older blogs. Well, as it turns out, it was a dermoid cyst. I called my sister right after my appointment to tell her about it and she almost threw-up when she googled what it was. Basically, a dermoid cyst are cells that form and can develop teeth and hair. To make it easier to talk about, Alyssa named the cyst Ruth. That way we didn't have to call it a dermoid and we could talk about it in front of other people without giving it away.

Now I will give you a few minutes to react and possibly Google what it is....My Dr. said that they usually don't know women have them unless they burst or the woman comes in for an ultrasound.

You can imagine how I feel. It was like that part in My Big Fat Greek Wedding:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWispEM3900

That is why I had so many ultrasounds, the Dr.'s had to monitor the size of the cyst to make sure that it didn't rupture or hurt the baby in some way.

I went my whole pregnancy without an issue, but towards the end Ruth kept growing right along with the baby. When it came time to deliver, she was about the size of a lemon. Which is HUGE for a cyst. I like to think that the cyst is what made me look so big while I was pregnant and not the donuts :) hee hee

I had already decided the Dr. would take Ruth out after I delivered Olivia, so when I went in for the c-section they just took Ruth out right after Olivia was born. Little did I know that there were two cysts!!! One on each of my ovaries!! I told the Dr. when she was operating that we named the one on the left ovary Ruth, so she named the other one Harry! I won't describe to you what I heard when they took them out, but it wasn't pretty.

My Dr. was so excited about them, because I guess they are pretty rare and they love to study them. It it one of those medical mysteries!!!

Anyway, Teddy I took a picture of them if you want to see them. I didn't think it would be nice to just post them, given that some poeple may have a weak stomach. If you want to see them, just leave a comment with your e-mail address and I will delete

Shots and Ear Piercings

Teddy had to wake Olivia up from a nap so that we could take her to the Dr. Here is the look that she gave Teddy all the way to the Dr.

It was hilarious!!!!! And I promise this was not an accidental photo. She gave him that look the whole way and she continues to give us that look when she doesn't like something we've done.
Here is a picture of Adam holding her after her shots. She did really good!!! She cried when the nurse used the alcohol swab, but then stopped crying right after the shots.

These are her little legs with the bandaids over her shots :( I cried more than she did and the nurse spent more time consoling me than she did Olivia...

Both Teddy and I wanted to get her ears pierced so we asked the pidiatrician if he would recommend a place and if he even thought she was too young. He told us that she isn't too young, and that he can even pierce her ears. So we decided to do it!!! Olivia did great!!! She didn't cry until we had to hold her head so he wouldn't miss the mark he made. Sometimes I remember that day and feel a little guilty, but so far she hasn't had a reaction to the earings and doesn't even know they are there.
This picture is even better than the first. She has her fists up like she is going to punch anyone that comes near her....

At 2 months Olivia was 24 1/4 inches long and 12 lbs 5oz!!! She is quite the healthy girl!!!!

One Month, Two Month, Three Month

I am working on getting my blog up-to-date, so I have to combine a few of my posts. Sorry about that....

Here is Olivia at one, two, and three months.

For her three month pictures, we went to a place called Portrait Innovations and they did an amazing job!!! Here is one of my favorites:

We Meet Again!!!!

Oh yes we did!!! Hanson came in concert on 9/14 and my sister and I went to party down. Well, I wouldn't really say we partied, but we did have a good time. Just for the record I did ask both Stephanie and Lindsay to come, but neither wanted to spend $30 for the tickets!!!! Lame, ha ha ha j/k girls....Courtney was for sure coming, but then had to cancel. So like I said it was just me and Alyssa.

Before the concert, Olivia and I had to take some pictures!!!!

If you recal, those wonderful things Olivia is wearing were from Lindsay. She gave them to me at my baby shower and made me cry!!!!

Now for the concert....First, remember when I told you that Freddy Munez from Malcom in the Middle was with Hanson that last time I met them???? Well, we finally know why. He is the drummer in a band that is opening for Hanson!!!! They were pretty good and had quite the following.

The next band had the funniest base player. Everything about him was so out of place....He was bigger than all the rest, was wearing clothes that didn't blend in, would run off stage to get the rest of the band water while they were all playing, and moved his feet around so much when he played. Alyssa and I were cracking up. The bands name was Rocket To The Moon and I didn't know who they were until the last song when they played "Like we used to." I started wondering why a band with such a popular song was opening for Hanson, but hey Hanson is awesome so why not??

On the left I am standing in front of the stage. On the right Alyssa and I are harnfing out in our seats waiting for the stars to come out ;)

Here is what you have all been waiting for...HANSON!!!! The backdrop is the name of their new c.d. You should totally check it out. They have sure grown up since Mmmmbop.

Clockwise from upper left, Zach, the youngest playing drums; Issaac, the oldest, playing bass; Taylor, the middle, lead vocals and piano; all three rockin' out.

I had so much fun and can't wait for Olivia to be old enough to come to the concerts with me :) And yes, I did purchase another Hanson shirt since my see other one I have will soon be hanging on my wall :)

ASU Football

The season has started and this year the whole family has tickets near each other in the upper level. The first season Teddy and I started buying ASU football tickets, we sat in the lower section by a man that would always yell out "Lets Go Sun Devils!!!!" Now you have to imagine this man sort of singing it, like an Opera singer. Well this year Teddy said that I should start the tradition on the upper level....I was really excited to start, but then I ended up being too embarrassed to try it....
The second game Olivia and my niece Cecelia joined us. I had Olivia in one of those Baby Bjorn carriers, so I didn't start the tradition that game either because I didn't want to yell in my ear. Here are some pictures from the tailgate:

Olivia and I made it on T.V.!!!! ESPNU!!!! I don't have that channel at home, so I don't really know how it turned out, but she looks super cute in her cheerleader outfit.

My brother Shawn, his wife Mindi, and my niece Cecelia!!!!!

By the third game, I felt a little more comfortable with my surroundings and I had a beer while tailgating....so this time it happened...I went for it!!!!!!! (Please pardon the angle)

Long Time Coming

Hello world, I am sorry I have been incognito for the past three months, but I have been enjoying a very special gift....
Olivia Teresa Wright was born 7/18/10 at 8:12 a.m. She was 8lbs 7oz and 21" long.

These were pictures taken at the hospital!!! I can't believe how good they are!!!!!! And yes, she was born with all that hair!!!!!

Sisterly Love

Tonight my sister and I went and got pedicures and manicures. I wanted to get mine done in preparation of delivery and to have someone really massage my feet. It was very interesting at the nail salon because two of the workers got in an argument. It was really funny because everyone in the salon stopped and stared at them. Even though you couldn't understand what they were saying you knew that it was a bad argument. My sister and I were too chicken to ask what happened, but I really wanted to know :(

Anyway, the fun didn't start there. After our nails we went to Target to get a few things. One of the things was underwear for me. I have managed to go my whole pregnancy without maternity aka granny pannies, but I just can't take it anymore. The past few weeks has been horrible, with the heat and none of my clothes fitting, so I figured it was time to just toss in the towel and buy only few pairs.

Well, Alyssa found some that we thought would work but I just wasn't sure if they would fit. I didn't want to take them home because I knew I wouldn't be able to return them. Alyssa told me once when she was shopping with my mom for a certain pair of underwear she tried them on over her pants. So.....that is what we did. But to make it even funnier is that Alyssa had to help me get in them. Because my belly is so big it is hard for me to step in and out of the clothes. Teddy has to help me sometimes in the morning when I get ready. I also feel like my body isn't ergonomically equipped to handle pregnancy as I feel I have t-rex arms and legs that won't bend. Anyway, what a site for those security cameras. Seeing a pregnant woman pull granny pannies on over her pants and then try to take them off again. But hey it worked and I feel confident that it was a wise purchase. I will keep you posted on them as well.

Before I go, I just have to give a HUGE thank you to my sister. Not only did she help me go to the bathroom in my wedding dress only 9 months ago, she is now helping me try on underwear in Target....What a gal!!!!!

39 Weeks

Well, it is five days until my due date and so far nothing is happening on the baby front. She hasn't dropped and I have not started to dilate either. At my appointment last week I was told that I was not progressing like the average 38 week pregnant woman. They said that if she hasn't dropped at all by my next appointment, which is tomorrow, they will start discussing c-sections. They are hesitant to induce only because if she isn't dropped to the proper position that would put me in more pain than necessary.

I feel that since my last appointment she has dropped at least a little. I have started to feel a little cramping every day but not enough to start timing them. Her actual due date is Monday, July 19th, but for some reason I have a feeling she will come this weekend. Teddy's birthday is Saturday and I think it will be really exciting if she is born on his birthday. I already share my birthday with my cousin Abby. We are exactly 20 years apart. So I think it would be super cool to share my birthday with at least one of my kids. It would be the best present in the world!!!!

Anyway, I will keep you all posted!!!

37 Weeks and Birthing Classes

Well, here are some updates on the pregnancy. Since my initial 8 month picture wasn't the greatest I asked Teddy to take another one for me at 37 weeks.

It is so weird because people always comment on how large my stomach is, but when I look at it in the mirror or when I look down I don't feel like it is that large. Then I see it in a picture and wholly moley does that belly look big!!!!! I guess it does look like I am carrying twins!!!!

Anyway the pregnancy is progressing just fine and Teddy and I had a whole month full of birthing classes. First on our list of classes was the Child Preparation Class. It was a two part class that was offered by my OBGYN. My sister Alyssa, who is going to be in the labor room with us, came to the classes too. It was recommended so she would be prepared for what can happen in the room as well. It was actually a lot of fun and Teddy and Alyssa had a great time together. Especially when Teddy and the instructor were practice coaching me on how to push and Teddy started counting to ten in German. It was both hilarious and embarrassing because the instructor didn't particularly care for Teddy's humor. When I apologized she only responded with "there's one in every crowd." And walked away. All in all, the classes were very informative and reassuring.
The second class was a Baby Care Class at the hospital. Teddy and I registered for the this class as sort of a refresher course for me since I haven't been around an infant for a long time. And it was an introduction course for Teddy since he has never really been around infants. This class had a majority of the same information our first class had, but it was not taught the same and I didn't walk away with anymore information than I already had. So, basically it was a bust. When a nurse can't discuss circumcision in room full of new parents because it can be uncomfortable I felt like asking for my money back.
Anyway, the next and last class was a Just for Dads class that Teddy went to. We had discussed him taking a Daddy Boot Camp class because it sounded fun, but his schedule didn't allow it. I was really interested in this class because it really was just for Dads. No Women Allowed is was it said on the registration. From what Teddy told me, the male instructor talked to the men in the class about what to expect in the delivery room, after the baby is born, and how to support their partner before, during and after labor. I guess it is easier for the guys to open up about their fears when their partner isn't sitting right next to them. They even gave them little "tool boxes" that are just for dads. If it hasn't been taken apart already I will take a picture and post it for you to see.
Either way, whatever was discussed must have sunk in for Teddy. We went to the mall later that week and the whole time we walked around he kept telling me that I was doing a good job and that he supported me.

Welcome Home

I believe it has been 28 years since Teddy's parents have lived in Arizona, and now they are back!!!!! Roni and David Wright have moved to Tucson, Arizona. Once they heard they were going to be grandparents the job search was started. David had started looking before that, but no one knew that after we told them the great news at Christmas they would be out here 7 months later!!!! We can't believe it.

I have been asked several times if I am nervous for the in-laws to move back to Arizona. And to be honest, I'm not. Roni and David are great. Even if I was given a choice on who my husband's parents were, I couldn't have chosen anyone better than Roni and David. The only sad part of them moving to Arizona...It was always so exciting to go to the mail and get a package (not that I am greedy) or get a special card in the mail to remind you that you are special. But now, they can remind us in person, which is so much better.

It was a great weekend and we had wonderful 4th of July with family and friends. Teddy and I truly are blessed.

Growing Up

It has taken me a while to write this entry because it is very difficult for me to write. I entitled it grown up because this is only the second time in my life where I feel like I have made a grown up decision that will have affected someone else's life.

The night after the baby shower my sister threw, my dad called me and invited me over. I had gone out to dinner with my sister and cousins and decided to go to my dad's after dinner. It was a little strange because my husband called me to make sure I was going to my dads, then my brother called, and then my dad called again. It was actually kind of exciting because we all thought that he might have bought something for me or the baby.

When I went over there, my dad had news for me that I was not prepared for. Although, when I stepped in the house I knew that something was wrong. First, I noticed blankets on the floor that had never been there before. Especially at this time of year. Then my dad said that I could use his restroom, which doesn't sound weird to any of you but we generally use the spare bathroom not my dads. Anyway, when I came out of the restroom I realized that Princess, my dog, had not come inside to say hi. I asked my dad where she was and he told me that is what he called me over for.
It turns out that Princess was very sick. She hadn't eaten anything since Thursday and when my dad came home on Friday, she couldn't stand up on her own but could walk if you stood her up. Then when my dad came home from the baseball game on Saturday, she couldn't even walk or hold herself up and she had started vomiting that night. My dad had to carry her outside to go to even go to the the bathroom because she wouldn't allow herself to go inside the house, she would whimper a little to let my dad know she was ready. Naturally, when my dad told my I just cried. My dad gave Princess to me on my 20th birthday when she was only 3 months old. He rescued her from the pound. She stayed with my dad after I got married because Teddy's condo doesn't have a yard and I didn't think it was fair to take a dog that had spent the last 8 years of her life being able to go in and out of the house as she pleases to a place where she is cooped up for 8 hours.

Finally I had to go outside to see her. Which was so hard because the only way you could tell she was excited to see me was she wagged her tail a few times. I sat down next to her and rubbed her head and she just laid her head on my leg and looked up at me. My dad and I stayed outside for about an hour and then we took inside. My dad and I decided that I would come over on Sunday with Teddy to help her get in and out of the house to go the bathroom and then I would take her to the vet on Monday to see what was wrong with her. When my dad picked her up to bring her inside I noticed that she had soiled herself, which isn't like her because Princess wasn't one to go to the bathroom when there were people around, which wasn't a good sign.

Needless to say, I didn't sleep at all that night. I would just wake-up in tears. My dad was going to leave his house to go to work around 9 that Sunday morning. He said that he would take Princess outside and put her under the tree so that she could use the restroom but be in the shade until Teddy and I got there. Since I couldn't sleep, I got up to go in to work to finish up a few things. Plus, if I was going to be missing work on Monday to take her to the vet I needed to get some additional work done. But when I got to the office I didn't realize that I needed a code to get into the building. So I turned around to get Teddy and head over to my dad's house.

Since Princess hadn't eaten since Thursday, I thought maybe it was the hard food that was keeping her from eating. So Teddy and I stopped at Petco to get some diapers (to make it more comfortable for Princess to stay inside and still go the bathroom) and some soft food. When we got my dads we went outside and I noticed that Princess had her head in the water bowl. It was submerged, but when I got to her her snout was sopping wet and I had a hard time lifting her head to get it out of the bowl. What I think happened is she put her head in the bowl to get a drink and then she couldn't get it back out again. I was so happy that we got there when we did because I don't know how I would have been able to handle what I could have found.

At that point I realized that she was so much worse than the night before and that I needed to take her to the hospital. I called my dad and he told me that she went to the bathroom all night on the blanket in the house and that she vomited all night and he also recommended that we take her to the hospital.

The moments leading up to finding a hospital that would take Princess, when we heard the diagnosis, and the decisions that were made are a blur so I am sorry if they go a little faster than the paragraphs above. Basically, Princess went into a diabetic crisis. Her blood sugar was over 500 when it should have been between 90 and 120. The hospital vet told us that it was genetic and only a matter of time before it affected her. Then it was time for decisions. This was the hardest part, Teddy was there supporting me, but he made a good point when he said that he couldn't make any suggestions because Princess wasn't his dog. He loved her, but she wasn't his. She was mine and this decision was left for me. I called my dad and talked to him. Then I called my sister. I even broke down a little with the nurse at the hospital explaining to her that I was going to have a baby in a month and I didn't know what I was suppose to do. The nurse was very nice and as helpful as she could be in that situation and made me feel a little better.

As you can probably tell, I had to make the decision to put Princess down. It was by far one of the hardest decisions I have ever made in my entire life. Luckily Alyssa and her boyfriend Andy came down to the hospital to say their goodbyes and give their support. I can honestly tell you that it affected me more than I thought because I actually became physically ill and had to leave the room for a little while. But I actually had to grow up and not think about my feelings for once. I had to think of Princess, the value of life, my husband and our little baby.

Even though I know Princess is in a better place, not a day goes by that I don't think of her and wish that I could see her again. But that is what life is all about, growing up and making decisions that you hope to God are the right ones.

Dessert

I had forgotten about this until I saw the picture just now. Back in April, my sister, me, Teddy, and my dad all went and saw a movie. After, we walked over to the Rock Bottom Brewery for some lunch. The lunch was good and everyone enjoyed their meal until it was time to order dessert. As you all have read in previous blogs, my sweet tooth really grew during this pregnancy. As I moved further along in my pregnancy I started ordering the smaller version of the desserts; however, this time I feel I was deceived. Take a look at this picture...It is a picture of the dessert on the menu that I ordered and what I actually ordered right in front of it. They don't quite look the same do they....

Baby Shower No. 3

My sister Alyssa threw me my third and final baby shower. It was amazing!!!! My sister is an amazing party planner/thrower and they always go off with a hitch. First, back in April I bought two dresses to wear to my baby showers. There was the pink flower one that I purchased for Lauren's and then a black and white polka dot dress for Alyssa's. As everyone knows I love surprises, so Alyssa kept everything about my shower a secret until the invitations went out.

When I received my invitation I knew it was going to be a great shower as she requested that everyone wear black and white attire!!!! I called her immediately to ask her if she knew that my dress was black and white polka dots. She said she didn't and we were both so excited and knew this shower was meant to be a success.

Alyssa hosted the shower at well known restaurant in Tempe called The House of Tricks. For anyone out there that is reading this blog, both me and my sister recommend hosting a shower of some sort at a restaurant. I don't know how much more expensive it is to host one there rather than at your house, but it is so much better!!!!

Anyway, as I said before the theme of the party was black and white. Alyssa got the idea from the black and white cookies at that bakery from New York called Crumbs. She even called Crumbs in NY to see if they could send some b&w cookies from NY, but they weren't able to. However, she found a NY style bakery right here in Phoenix that makes b&w cookies. So her plan was saved! Also, in the centerpieces she printed little pictures of my maternity session with Teddy. They were super cute. Here is a picture of the table...

My shower was on the 12th of June, which was when I should have taken my 8th month picture. Unfortunately, this is only one that was taken and it is blurry. But at least you can kind of see my b&w dress and the belly.

Here I am with my cousin Jenny. She is my mom's niece and I am really excited that I have a picture of her to post on the blog!!!

Here is a picture of some of my friends and family at the shower. From the left going clock wise, my friend from Church Jean Ginsbauch, my Aunt Judy, cousin Jacquie, cousin Julie, cousin Jenny, me, and my friend Mary. I met Mary when I started working at the court house 7 years ago!!! I can't believe we have been friends for this long!!!!

I actually told Alyssa about this game when she was planning a shower for one of her co-workers. It is bottle bowling and a lot of fun!!!! Well I didn't end up playing it, but it sure looked fun. You line up 10 bottles and then bowl with rolled up diapers. It is so clever!!!!

Here is a picture of my Aunt Lara taking a shot at bowling.
Everyone did such a great job, but it was my cousin Michelle that took the prize home after she knocked down all 10 bottles with a spare!!!!
Now on to the good stuff!!! Here is a picture of a few of the gifts.

Everyone was so generous. Both Teddy and I are so thankful for everything that people gave us. We can't believe how many diapers we were given!!!! It is a life saver...well until she is born and we actually start using them!!!!
Of course, people get creative when it comes to gifts. Well my Aunt Lara is going to make baby announcements for us, and this is how she told us. She made a picture with the crib and the Manni doll. It is so clever!!!!

This next gift actually brought me to tears. When I was given the gift, it was in a green Chinese food box without a card. The tag said something about following in mom's footsteps and when I opened the box....It was a Hanson onesie and bib!!!! Yes, that is right, it brought me to tears!!! I can't wait to see her in them!!!
I also want to give a shout out to my cousin Michelle for making the onesies that she gave the baby. I don't have pictures of them now, but will post some pictures of the baby in them when she arrives. Michelle didn't say anything at the shower and I didn't realize it until I got home, so I wanted her to get the proper recognition because they are super cute!!!!

Fred Flinstone????

So I am 8 months pregnant and I have just started to swell in my feet and hands. I can't wear my wedding ring and I have a really hard time wearing my shoes. I know it is only temporary and to be honest it isn't too bad. It hurts every once in a while, but it goes away so it is easy to deal with. Sometimes I don't even notice until someone points it out.

Well the first week it happened was when our temperature in Arizona reached over 100 degrees. It is so hot outside!!! I drink plenty of water, but apparently I am just meant swell until this little bundle of joy decides to come out. The best part of having your feet swell is you can laugh and make jokes. Like this picture of the first day of swelling...my feet look like Fred Flinstone's feet.
You can't see my ankle bones!!!! I will try to take more pictures, but man this cracks me up. I am speaking honestly when I say it isn't that bad. I try to swim 2-3 times per week to help with the swelling and it does help. The only complaint I have is how sore my ankles are. They didn't hurt until the swelling started, but I honestly don't know how obese people handle it. If my ankles hurt this bad with me being pregnant and having a temporary swelling and weight gain, how do their ankles feel?

Disability

I have to tell this story but it needs a little explanation before I start. My husband can't see without contacts or his glasses. He has terrible eyesight. He actually wanted to be a fighter pilot but knew he wouldn't make it because of his eyes. I am not sure how else you would know this without me telling you, but I find it to be hilarious when he takes his contacts out. I call them his eyes, because he literally can't see in front of him. When he looks at his phone without his contacts he has to hold it right up to his eyes to see it. Why it is so funny is because he calls it a disability. Whenever I tease him, he always says I am cruel because I tease and make fun of people with disabilities. I am cracking up just writing this. OK, now for the real story...

Because my belly is getting bigger Teddy has started tucking me in at night. No I am not 5 years old, but he will come in the room and help me get my pillows situated before I go to sleep. This night in particular I asked him to get me a glass of ice water. As I was waiting in bed, I heard these noises coming from the kitchen. I got out of bed to see what was going on and Teddy was standing at the refrigerator picking ice up off the floor. He said that he couldn't see that the glass was upside down and all the ice kept falling all over the place. I don't think I have ever laughed that hard....

Dreams Do Come True

Like many of you I am on Twitter. Many times I have thought about deleting my account because sometimes Twitter is just glorified texting. But this day, I started to believe in Twitter more now than I ever had before.

It was just a normal Wednesday afternoon and I was sitting at my desk working. I looked at my phone and noticed that I had received a text message. I looked at it and it was a Tweet from Hason. Yet, I said Hanson. The boy group that sings Mmmmbop. The Tweet said that they would be on Mix969 in an hour. For a second I sat there and wondered where that is. Just the day before they had tweeted that they were in New Mexico, and I thought to myself how wonderful it would be if they came to Arizona and saw them driving down the freeway or something like that.

So I decided to Google Mix969. I knew that there was a radio station here in Phoenix with those call letters, but I really didn't think it would be here. Well, it was here!!!! I went on Mix 96.9's website and confirmed that Hanson was going to be in the studio!!! You honestly have no idea how excited I was...so I mapquested the address for the station and figured out that it was only 15 minutes away from my work. I also added the phone number for the station to my phone.

When 4:30 hit, I ran out of the office so that I could try to meet Hanson at the radio station. I finally found the station and waited outside. It was really hard because I was 7 months pregnant and I had to pee so bad...but I held out. Finally, after waiting for almost an hour I drive around the studio for the 7th time and pull up next to these 10 girls that were waiting the whole time I was. So I asked them if they were waiting for Hanson and if I could wait with them. Well, they were!!!!

About 30 minutes later they walked out of the radio station and I couldn't believe my eyes!!!! I was so excited I shouted out loud. As it turned out the other girls that were at the station had already met them, so they let me cut the line to get a few pictures.

Here I am with Taylor Hanson, the middle brother, and in my opinion the hottest one of all three.

Here I am with Taylor and Issac. Man are they good looking boys. Zach was already in the van so I couldn't get a picture with all three.

The whole reason Hanson was in Arizona was to promote their new album Shout It Out. They were on what they called a Detour, where they traveled from Oklahoma to different cities around the U.S. promoting their album in a 15 person van driven by them. They go to different cities appear on television shows, you might have seen them on Jay Leno and Lopez Tonight, and then put on a listening party. The one in Arizona was held at the Tempe Beach Park. So Teddy took me there to spend a little more time and possibly get a picture with all three of them.
Here is their van with a banner that says Hanson. Now what I didn't know, and I kind of have to make fun of them a little, is that they were going to play their c.d. out of the speakers of the van. If I had known that, I would have asked Teddy to bring a few speakers and subwoofer along with us. Okay, enough with the jokes.

Now, for some reason Hanson is friends with Frankie Munez from Malcolm in the Middle. Now I took this picture, because he is a celebrity, and to show you the shirt that I was wearing. This is a t-shirt that Teddy bought me at the Hanson concert I went to 2 years ago. I squeezed my pregnant but into this shirt...and this is the result.

Now the fun begins, here I am with Issac. The oldest brother. I am not sure what he said to me here, but apparently it was pretty exciting!

Here we are posing with his signature on my belly.

Here I am again with Taylor. He signed it to the baby :)

Hopefully people can see why I think he is so handsome.

The third brother Zach doesn't like crowds very much. He pretty much stayed away for as long as he could. But not long enough because on the way to take a group shot with all the people that came to the listening party I snagged him for a quick signature on my shirt. Zach was too fast for Teddy to get a picture.
Can you find me in this picture? It is like Where's Waldo ;)

On the way back to the van I make a dash for Taylor and I ask him if I can get a picture with all three of them. He was hesitant at first, but I pulled the baby card. I told him that I needed to have a picture with all three of them so that she would know who signed the shirt while she was in my belly. I don't pull the pregnancy card often, but I couldn't help but use it now. Like I said before, Hanson rarely does a picture with all three of them together. I am not sure why considering they are the whole band, but it was worth asking. Taylor told me that if I couldn't get all three of them together then they would take the picture. I told him that I would be waiting by the van.
I am not too sure how I got back to the van that fast, but I did. I waited by the passenger doors for all three of them to get there and sure enough...it worked!!! Here I am with all three of the boys. They were so nice to do this...

This was truly one of the best days of my life and I have crossed something off my bucket list. The best part is they are coming back to Phoenix in September for a concert. I can't wait!!!!
And to prove that I have all three signatures, here is a picture of my shirt :) I am going to frame it and put it above the t.v. ha ha ha, Teddy wouldn't care for that too much. But I am going to frame it.

Baby Shower No. 2

I think I had mentioned this before, but I started a new job in December. It was a big transition, but this firm took a chance on hiring me and has been more than nice to me during my pregnancy. The best part is that all of the people are excited about the baby!!! So the ladies at the office threw me a shower! It so much fun and again, everyone was so generous!!!

One of the other paralegals picked the decorations for the shower. The little white papers on the table are quotes about little girls. The sad part about that is she couldn't even make it to the shower. She had a meeting with some experts and she wasn't able to get out of it. :( I felt so bad for her but I enjoyed the decorations very much.
For food every one brought in a delicious dish!!! One of the attorneys introduced me to a jalapeno and cilantro hummus. It is amazing!!!!!!!!!

Here is a group shot. Everyone was sharing strories of their husbands while they were giving birth. They were pretty funny!!!!

Now it is time for the good stuff...the gifts!!!

Several people around the office pitched in and got us the basinet we registered for. It is beautiful and I love it!!!!

Here is her first bathing suit!!! It is super cute. Teddy isn't too sure of it because it is a two piece, but it is still cute!!!!

While we were enjoying the presents we got word that our firm won its first trial!!!! That is a great result for our firm as we are just starting out and need to start making a name for ourselves.

Then it was time for the rest of the good stuff...cake!!! First, I love cake. Second, I love red velvet cake. Third, it is a bundt cake.

Needless to say, it was a great shower...
